豪雨假裡的好消息 A Good News Amid a Rain Day Off.

昨晚七點就收到停班停課通知。

有了七月初的經驗，看到這樣的公告，雖然難免擔心，但也讓人更有危機意識，好好準備，總是好的。

預防性假期是留給需要的人，上次的風災還有好多地方並未修繕完成，無雨無災是好的，給大家多一點時間把家園復原。

早上被一通電話叫醒，是我們的師傅大哥，看著天氣不錯，想來公司工作。一開始我沒答應，擔心過沒多久風雨會來；沒多久，其他夥伴們也不約而同陸續告訴我們還有工作沒做完，今天想去上班。看看窗外，天空亮亮的，那就來吧！心裡暖暖的。這份責任感與主動，真的很珍貴。

還有一件令人開心的事，今天又敲定了一個聯名合作，預計8/20會在翻修後的西市場正式亮相。

滿心期待它的誕生，希望能讓更多人看見吸引更多人體驗台南好拖鞋。

We received the notice to suspend work and classes at 7 p.m. last night.

Having experienced serious typhoon in early July, such announcements naturally make us a little anxious, but it’s a good reminder to stay alert and well-prepared.

Preventive days off are meant for those who need them. Many areas affected by the previous storm are still under repair. No rain and no disaster is a blessing! it simply gives everyone more time to restore their homes.

This morning, I was woken up by a phone call, it was our lead craftsman. Seeing the clear skies, he wanted to come to work. At first, I said no, worried that the weather might worsen. But soon after, other team members started messaging us, one by one, saying there were still tasks to finish and they hoped to come in.

I looked outside, and the sky was bright, “Alright, let’s go.”

My heart felt so warm. That sense of responsibility and initiative is truly precious.

And one more piece of happy news: we’ve confirmed another collaboration today!

It will be officially launched on August 20 at the newly renovated West Market.

We’re so excited for its debut, and we hope it will draw more people to experience the charm of Tainan’s handmade sandals.
